How We Start the Plastering Process

 

After the completion of electrical wiring pipes and plumbing lines, and once the systems have been tested (including pressure testing for plumbing), our plastering team begins work. Here’s how the process flows:

  • The wall is slightly wetted to improve bonding between brick and plaster.

We use a standard plaster ratio of 1:4 — one part cement and four parts clean, fine sand.
For areas with higher moisture (like kitchens or bathrooms), a stronger 1:3 ratio is used.

Waterproofing chemicals (like Sika or Cico) are often added in wet areas or exterior walls to resist water absorption.

  • A base coat is applied over the wall using a trowel.
  • The plaster is leveled using a plumb line or straight edge.
  • A final smooth coat is added for a uniform finish.
  • For exterior walls or special finishes, textured plaster or double-coat methods may be used.

Step 4: Curing
