Step 1: Soil Testing – Knowing the Ground Beneath
Before any excavation begins, we perform a detailed soil test to analyze the type, strength, and moisture content of the earth. This is critical because different soils respond differently to load and environmental changes. The test helps us determine how deep and strong the foundation must be for that particular plot.

Step 2: Excavation – Digging to the Right Depth
Once we have the soil report, we proceed with excavation based on its recommendations. At 92 Homes, we typically dig to a minimum depth of 2 feet and a maximum of 5 feet, depending on the soil condition and project requirements.

Step 3: Termite Spray Treatment – Early Protection for Long-Term Safety
Before we pour the first layer of concrete (PCC), we apply a termite control chemical spray to the entire foundation trench. This is a critical preventative measure to protect your home from termite infestation, which can severely damage the wooden components and structural integrity over time.
